You never quite know what you do
Even as I come unglued.
You retain your nature
Even when it seems to hurt you.
How you do it I don't know,
But
Even if I don't spend the rest of my life with you
Which I think would be cool.
Even if the whole world doesn't think like I do.
You are fast becoming part of me.

I want you to see what I see.
Your shy smile
And sparkling eyes.
Unsure of your standing,
You attempt to hide.
But what you don't know,
Is how little you need try.

I can speak little for others
As I am just a wandering bard
In search of something we can't see.

When I look peer into your soul though,
I see tears mixed with hope.
Someone trying not to choke
On the things people hide.
I see the laughter and the grief
And all the things you deny.

I at least,
Enjoy your company.
Cherish it some might say.
If it's the distance I cannot yet tell.
What I know for sure though
Is I don't want to let go.

Can any of you believe I wrote this? I sure as hell can't hahahahaha. -ahem- moving on I suppose.

I guess my romantic poet is peeking out from the depths. I wrote this for my boyfriend when he was feeling pretty low and felt like everyone was hatin' . At least that's what I remember about it.

Also, I read this like a song. Similar to One And Only sung by Nelly.
